Nagi-ovo/dsh-ads
Parody ads in 2005-Chinese-web style: sidebar banners, in-chat feeds, corner popups, and a close button whose hit area is smaller than it looks. All fictional.

Installing from GitHub runs the project's build script, which pnpm blocks until you allowlist it — run the command once and pnpm prints the exact key to add under `allowBuilds` in ~/.dsh/profiles/web/pnpm-workspace.yaml.
Due diligence
dsh-ads is a DeepSeek Harness plugin that overlays fictional 2005 Chinese-web-style adverts on the Harness interface. It places banners in the sidebar, recommendations in chat, interruptions during streaming inference, and pop-ups in the corner. Its close control has a smaller hit area than the visible button. The display may appear to pause inference, but the model continues working in the background; the later answer and tool calls are withheld from view until the advert ends.
The plugin responds to DSH’s language setting and swaps its copy, artwork, and interactions without a page refresh. It can discover public GitHub repositories with the dsh-plugin topic that have been updated within the previous two weeks, and opens a selected repository when its advert is clicked. Advertising choices in Settings → Ads (Unofficial) are persisted in the local browser. Exposure records are also local. A user-initiated “verification” action makes one GitHub Star-status request, using local gh or a token when available, otherwise an anonymous public API; its result is stored in the browser.
This is intended for developers who want a deliberately disruptive visual joke or a way to surface recently updated DSH plugins. It is the wrong choice when uninterrupted streaming output, predictable interaction, or a distraction-free agent UI matters. dsh-ads states that it does not scan, read, or modify files on the machine, but it does contact GitHub for repository discovery and the optional Star check.
The plugin is installed for the DSH web profile. In DSH, Settings → Ads (Unofficial) provides an individual switch for each advertising slot; selections persist until changed. Settings → Language changes the complete set of advert assets, text, and interactions immediately, without a refresh. The README does not name configuration keys or file paths for these settings.
After changing the installed plugin or profile configuration, restart a running DSH web instance and refresh the page. dsh --profile web --dump-config can be used to check that the plugin is present in the final configuration. When working from a checkout, the README says the committed build output is already available and does not require an additional build step.
Adverts may appear in the sidebar, chat, during inference, and in the lower-right corner. The interface can look paused while an advert is shown, although inference continues in the background; the subsequent response and tool calls are displayed after the advert finishes. Chinese and English modes use different fictional material. The Chinese mode rotates two 贪玩蓝鲸 posters every 20 seconds.
Public GitHub plugins with the dsh-plugin topic and an update in the last two weeks can enter recommendation slots. Clicking an advert opens the real repository. Exposure history is kept in the local browser.
The plugin says all adverts, brands, domains, prices, claims, viruses, and promises are fictional and unrelated to real companies or services. It does not scan, read, or modify local files. If the user explicitly selects “验证修复”, it performs one GitHub Star-status lookup: it prefers local gh or a token, then falls back to the anonymous public API. That result is stored in the local browser.
